Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most well-known role is Bo, from Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, as well as Ilkay Silk who is a renowned actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching working and going to play rehearsals. Silk starred in numerous commercials for kids. In 1997, she earned a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two early theater productions including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999. Later, she spent the next decade, she moved in the following decade to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman met Silk at the Actors Workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. They were engaged in 2009 and married in a civil ceremony in December of the same year. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton following the time that Silk changed her religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was blessed with her first son Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Her son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV work includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. Her most notable role was as Bo Dennis, a succubus, on the television show Lost Girl. Silk announced to her fans that she was pregnant in January 2013 during a Showcase Season Three Special. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th, 2013 that the show was coming back in the production. The fourth season began on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. The character she played Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite TV Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top TV Couple in the year 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge social media following, including Facebook and Twitter as a direct result of its success.
